Happy Wednesday, we are half way through the work week. I am back with the Flavor of the Day, the focus is on butterflies. What could be more beautiful than a butterfly floating through the sky...I remember seeing one hatch and watching it as it's wings dried and it was finally able to fly. Believe it or not, it did not happen as quickly as I would have thought, but the process was still a wonder to see. After ruining a lot of card mats for the CQC card yesterday, I had a lot of space left to stamp on for cutting out. So I decided to stamp this large Tim Holtz butterfly that my daughter gave me.
This card uses a soft blue card base and is matted with white cs, stamped and partially embossed with a Work of Art stamp background. Add some other stamping and some sequins and it makes the perfect background. The butterfly colors were chosen carefully, I do love a blue and yellow combination for this card.
Do you ever find yourself in a rut and everything is a struggle when making a card? If so, just try and release all the negative energy by stamping parts over and over until you have enough to make several cards, then color until you are tired of coloring. finally practice your fussy cutting. If you snip something off, just hang on to it and glue it back on when you get through. Have a wonderful Wednesday. Try your wings today and fly with the wind, if only in your dreams! Did you know I dream about what I will stamp, especially when doing a color design? Thanks for stopping by.
