Oh my....it's going to be another hot day here! Hello the last Tuesday in July and welcome to another challenge over at the ColourQ. I have a lot of catching up to do in the next few weeks. Summer is keeping me busy in the garden...trying to keep it alive with all of our heat! Today, Arielle has brought these summer-fall colors, Calypso Coral, Apricot Appeal, More Mustard, Night of Navy(these three are retired) and white. These are really nice colors, hope to see you in the gallery this week! I am behind in my commenting, but am catching up!
the card base is kraft...my go to color when I don't know what I want to use! I have two white cs mats. The top mat has an oval die cut window and is embossed. The scene mat is stamped with sea life and rubbed with inks. The jellyfish is embossed with white ep, the seahorse, the crab and starfish are stamped water colored and fussy cut. I love combining the different current and retired stamps to make underwater art!
The second card also has a kraft card base and is matted with white cs. I have a stamped background of script and some leaves, the sentiment is thanks. Then I added leaves which I stamped in Night of Navy, More Mustard and Calypso Coral. They were all water colored, fussy cut and glued to the base. Last a butterfly in Night of Navy , with the same treatment, finishes this card. This was a totally different approach to these vibrant colors.
I love the soft colors in the first card and the vibrant colors in this card....Have a beautiful day, hope you have time to play this week! Summer will soon be over and the kids back in school....well, I don't have kids in school, but I know my cats will be glad when it cools off a bit! Thanks for stopping by. Coming soon, Crazy Birds, my stamps and dies arrived today!
