Happy Tuesday and welcome to another challenge over at the ColourQ . The colors this week that Arielle has given us to play with are, Concord Grape(I don't have), Melon Mambo, Pretty In Pink(lost my ink pad, but I do have the ink), Calypso Coral and white. Anytime there is pink in the combo, that is my cue, I know I am going to have a hard time! I really tried to give you a Wow card, but alas, even after many attempts and lots of stamped and fussy cut flowers, I have these two similiar cards. Hope you can find some inspiration in knowing that I did not give up!
The first card has a pink card base and two white mats. One has an oval die cut window and random dry embossing. The background is wood grain and dots from the Work of Art. The flowers are stamped in Blackberry Bliss and inked in Blackberry Bliss, Melon Mambo, and Pretty in Pink. The bird is in BB. Lots of inking and fussy cutting here. I was asked by someone who bought cards from me if I cut out all the tiny flowers. The answer is yes, I normally cut anything that could not be die cut in the Big Shot! My fingers are still working!
The second card has the purple card base(not sure which one) and is matted with white cs, stamped with a wood grain and dots just as the first card. It is also dry embossed with random dots. The same flowers only stamped in black...I know forbidden....have been treated the same, just in a different arrangement.
Both cards share the same colors, the same content and the same style. I tried to think of a card I could make that was CAS and it just wasn't happening this week with these colors! Hope you hae better luck and can inspire me when I come around for a visit! Have a wonderful Tuesday...I am running late with this post. It will be another hot day, but I will have to be out in the garden today! Thanks for stopping by for a visit!
