The colors for the challenge this week were Riding Hood Red, Basic Black, BASIC Gray, and Whisper White.I immediately picked the stamp set with the skull. I am not a fan of skulls, but it is very popular and it is easy to put those colors with those stamps. I used my punch with the arrows to add a little interest with the words You Rock!
My card base is basic black. I made a frame, embossing around the edge. I then used Whisper white card stock, the a piece the the new gloss designer paper, red with white dots, and used gray for the elements. I glittered the gray stars and the teeth with Iridescentice glitter and the eyes with the Chunky Red. I stamped the blow tie on the back of the glossy black stripe DSP, then cut it out and added a half-pearl from the Pretties Kit.
For those of you who are traditionalists like me, here is my second card. This is a 3"x3" card and although I could make changes, I am posting it this way. I could use it as a tag on a Valentine gift or just write a note inside. I am glad I got it done. Happy day everyone!
Today was my baking day, so I am behind. One funny thing happened this evening, of course I could have predicted it. My husband brought home some roses for me for Valentines. I was still cooking when he put them on our bar. My cat Daisy, immediately jumped onto the counter and nibbled two roses. She loves to eat roses, I really do not know why. Anyway, Happy Valentines to everyone.
