Hi, this weeks challenge over on the Color Throwdown Blog, is brought by Danielle Kennedy. The colors are Pink Pirouette, Melon Mambo, and Baja Breeze. These are lovely colors, two returning colors and one retiring. Be sure and check out all the cards on the Color Throwdown Blog.
I chose the new digital image, Field Flowers, released Tuesday by Kathy Martin on her blog, Card Blanc. I used all three colors in my card stock and inks. The flowers are colored with a blender pen, straight ink, and ink watered down, thus the difference in the darks and lights, especially the Melon Mambo. The darkest flowers are straight Melon Mambo. It looks almost red! I used tiny rhinestones as flower centers. I added a little Summer Sun for my bees and flower center and some Certainly Celery and Old Olive for the leaves. My clouds are hand cut, sponged with Baja Breeze. I also sponged the background with Whisper White ink as well. This card is bright and cheery, just perfect to send to a friend and this digital image has so many possiblities! Visit Kathy's blog, join the Digital Doodles Club, try just one of these images, they are irresistable. Have a Happy Fun Friday!
