This weeks Tuesday Trigger Challenge, over on the MoxieFabWorld Blog, is brought by Alicia Thelin in the form of an elegant photograph, Vintage Pink & Blue Dishes from Picnic by Ellie on Flickr. I absolutely loved this trigger, especially the colors, the pinks, corals and the blue and a hint of green.
I started my card with a 4 1/4" Pink Pirouette circle card. I next added some ribbon trim that I found at a local fabric shop on sale this week. I added two circles(?) cut from the Peony Nestibility Die, one Cameo Corla and the other Pink Pirouette. I next cut two flowers one Whisper White, the other Blue# 2(DCWV), with the Daisy Sizzix die. I drew my mug pattern, cutting two one of Whisper white, the other out of Blue#2. I cut away the inside of the blue mug and edged it in white in and added a seperate handle. I mounted it with dimensional on the white mug for depth. I cut the leaves from the newest bird and branch punch(EKS for Stampin'Up!), added it as well as a flower purchased at JoAnn's Fabrics. Last, I stamped You're Invited and cut it out in the shape of the end of a ribbon. My party invitation is finished, anyone want to come? I spent hours awake at night thinking up this card. I am happy to say, maybe I will sleep tonight! Go by the Moxie Fab World Blog and check out the other entries. Have a lovely weekend.
