This week challenge over on the City Crafter Challenge Blog , was so intriguing to say the least. The picture, artwork, caused a brain meltdown! I could not quit thinking about what I wanted my card to look like. I have lived all over the world, but never had the chance to visit Venice. At this stage in my life I have no desire to travel, but Venice would have been wonderful. This challenge piece was brought by Kirsty Vittetoe. Be sure and check out the designers cards and all the other entries. If this picture speaks to you, make a project and play along.
The colors I used are similiar to the card I made in the last post. I used retiring Ruby Red and Apricot Appeal, Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla, and Riding Hood Red. My designer paper(music sheet) is new Stampin'Up! available July 1 in the new catalog. My sentiment is from the Summer Mini catalog. The rest of this card is made piece by piece by me. I drew out the design, the mask, the face, and all the pieces. I then set out to duplicate each piece by cutting it from my pattern one at a time. I got lucky today. Everything was working just right and my face turned out like I imagined it. I aged my mask and music sheet with inks and a dauber. I added mini rhinestones in gold tones and vanilla pearls. I drew all the elements in to make my mask come alive. Hope you enjoy my card. Have a great Friday!
