This week's Readers' Choice #4 over on Kristina Werner's Blog, features bright and cheery colors. The colors are Bright Blue, Ruby Red, Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron, Pale Blue, and white. The colors I used were Pacific Point, Ruby, Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron, Bashful Blue, and Whisper white. The stamp sets I chose was Pedaling Past and for my sentiment, In A Word. Both sets are from the Summer Mini catalog(Stampin'Up!).
My weekend was a little hectic, with two ceiling fan blades flying off the porch across my yard Saturday night and my tooth losing part of the crown on Sunday while eating some vanilla ice cream. This morning I got up thinking everything would be back to something called normal. Then my husband had to leave unexpectedly for work and in the process of drying his clothes, the dryer decided it was not working. In spite of all this I decided that the color of Monday would be a rainbow. Kristina's colors this week were just that. I worked hard to think what I could do with these colors. What I would have loved to do was a beach scene, but I wanted to stamp and I did not have current beach stamps that would fit the challenge. So I put this bicycle card together. No I am not on a bicycle kick, although this set is really fun! It just provided what I wanted for my card. There is a party banner at the top. I just cut small triangles, no stamp! My sentiment is nice when using two colors, it says "get together"! I used a bicycle built for two. Did you ever go on a church picnic and ride one? I grew up in a big church and we had lots of summer functions outdoors, with paddle boats and bicycles, soda pop, and lots of good food! This is a fun summer card. Hope you enjoy your Tuesday. What color will your Tuesday be?
