This week's challenge over on the Color Throwdown Blog, is brought by Tammy Hershberger. She chose these "summery colors", Certainly Celery, Riding Hood Red, and Rivier Rock. She said she saw a wicker set with floral cushions. I can definitely see hibiscus, but I chose to do apples. Be sure and check out all the designers beautiful cards! There is still time to do this challenge, think about playing!
I chose apples because I wanted to do something different. I was looking through my fabric today. I am cutting pieces to sell on Etsy and I came across this piece with just the right colors. So I designed my card around this piece of fabric. It is August on Sunday, and school will be starting again soon. It is always a good idea to have a thank you card on hand that you could give a teacher. I cut my fabric background pice(not paper) with the Top Note Die. I also used three punches, Presto Patterns Speciality dsp with Riding Hood Red card stock, Riding Hood Red, Certainly Celery, and River Rock inks and Riding Hood Red ribbon. My dsp is tone on tone white which I rubbed River Rock ink. This paper is perfect! If you haven't made a card yet, what different things can you think of for this color combo, besides flowers, apples, and Christmas? Remember Tammy said summery colors! I am late getting to bed thins morning, so have a good Friday!
