Yes, Cheryl! Your photograph made me hungry! This week's challenge over on the City Crafter Challenge Blog, is brought by Cheryl in the form of a wonderful photo of cheesecake! Yes, I said cheesecake, and it looks like my favorite, White Chocolate with a Raspberry swirl. Be sure and take a look for yourself on the blog. Check out the designers great cards and the other entries.
I have been waiting a long time to create a recipe card for my famous Southern fruit cobbler. I have been serving it for almost 40 years. When I first got married, I made it with fresh fruit. Over the years, I have changed to canned fruit because of the availability of fruit in some of the countries we lived in. For convenience, now I use a can of fruit pie filling. I serve this when I have a stamp camp or class, because it is easy, fast, and everyone loves it. I had to bake one this morning just to get the picture for the card! This serving is gone, I ate it soon after I took the picture! Yum!
This card is unique, it has a tag which I did not photograph, tucked in from the top. The tag provides a place to write down variations you might want to write down. I last lived in Colorado and I had to change certain things because of the altitude and weather. I will be making these to send out for Christmas. My brother was here last month and I made one for his family, so I need to send them one right away. This is a practical application of the photograph. If I have a chance I will make a fanciful card. I am trying to cut down so I can actually get to bed before morning and I really need a recipe card! Hope mine made you hungry as well. If you happen to copy the recipe, remember, it's mine, so give me credit! I also might have left off a key ingredient, but I'll never tell! Tomorrow is Friday! Yeah! Have a good one.
