This week on the 2 Sketches 4 You Blog, the challenge is hosted by Kazan with her sketch # 62. What a fun sketch with a lot of possibilities. Be sure and check out the designer's cards for some inspiration.
This sketch was perfect for a card I needed to make for my daughter-in-law. Sunday, she lost her Granny to cancer. Most of what I know about Granny had to do with the quilting she did for her family. One of Amber's fondest memories will be the time she spent with her and the fun things she learned. I normally do not use all soft colors, but I wanted this card to be calming and not too vibrant as it is a sympathy card. I also wanted to incorporate a quilt block and some flowers for remembrance. I left it without embellishment because that was not Granny. I am hoping this card will be something Amber will keep to remind her of Granny's life. Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful Thursday.
