I have been working all afternoon and night on some thank you notes, but I had trouble choosing a design, a color, and what stamps I wanted to use. I am not in a slump, but my brain works overtime when I should be asleep and not working when I am awake. So I put down what I was doing and am going to bed. I am posting a thank you card I made for my daughter's birthday. She asked for thank you cards, so I made four.
I used the new border embossing folder, they are tulips! and I love tulips. Next I picked a smaller stamp that I could water color. I used red, blue, white, yellow and green with a brown basket. I seem to go back to older stamps when I want to make something quickly and I water color when I am tired. I also use a blender pen which has more control than a brush, but I do not have copics, this is a true watercolor.
I had a comment on the previous post from Starla. She likes that I do different things and not the same thing all the time. Folks, this is just the way my brain works. I adjust my brain to the colors, the design, the stamps, and what is required by the challenge. I am somewhat a disadvantage when it comes to making what is in, because first, I am an artist and second, I have a lot things about my style that have been around for a long time. Every once in awhile I design a Clean and Simple card, but I have to go back to my design days as it does not come naturally to me. Hope you are having productive days during this holiday! Tomorrow of the last day of the year! Are you celebrating with anyone? Cats and I will be here alone! I hope to get a lot done.
