Winter White is popular this week! The Tuesday Trigger over on the Moxie Fab World Blog, is a beautiful photograph of a wedding cake in the Martha Stewart Living magazine. Isn't this picture gorgeous, the lace and crocheted flowers as well? I can not imagine decorating a cake like this.
I thought this would be exceedingly hard for me. At the beginning of the week my head just could not wrap around this idea. I did my winter white with red last night and was not satisfied with what I came up with. Today, I got my Valentines made and started working on this card just after supper. I used a white card base, a white mat embossed with a frame embossing folder, an embossing sizzlit, and some punches. I added pearls and glitter and stamped Happy Birthday! My dad loved to get white lilies or roses on his birthday, so he would have loved this card. There are lots of flowers and a butterfly. This card was really hard to photograph. I tried several different backgrounds before I settled on an old crocheted lace doily. The color and texture seemed to make the card really pop off the page. I hope you enjoy this card. Have a wonderful Sunday.
