Today, I got a later start making my Valentines for the St. Jude Card drive sponsored by the Winter Wonderland Blog. If you would like to contribute any Valentines be sure and check out Winter Sim's blog. My total so far is 24 cards, my goal is 100!
This card is similar to one I made a few weeks ago. It is a simpler version with no extra embellishments. I am being careful what goes on these cards, because I do not know what age child will receive the card and I don't want the possibility of something being taken off and swallowed. I made only four of these because of all the detail and water coloring involved. For those of you who did not see this card before, the image, my hearts and the sentiment card stock is water color cs, I made my own colored cs by putting a water color wash on with a one inch flat brush. It makes it so easy to match your colors by using the ink pad. Mine was Rose Red which matches my papers. My white hearts were punched from a leftover piece of cs that had been run through a texture plate. My red hearts were hand cut from a pattern I made. I love this image! Well, it is getting late, but I will be back with a card tonight for my night post.
