This week over on the City Crafter Challenge Blog, Cheryl Nelson is hosting week 54 with "Mother May I?" The challenge is to make a project with the word mom or any form of it. What a great challenge as we are approaching Mother's Day! Be sure and check out the designer's projects. You have plenty of time to play.
All week I thought I would use a photo of my mom, like I did last year. However, with the way my week has been going I changed my mind and decided to make a card, using some of the kit I received from Cheryl just after the first of the year. She challenged everyone to make cards at Christmas using the theme she had each day. My name was drawn and I received The Togetherness Crafting Kit, from Cosmo Cricket. It had so many lovely things and as always I thought I would save it and use it for something special. I came to the conclusion a few weeks ago, that I just really need to start using up what I have been given. This is my card, I think you can see everything I used is from the kit except the twine, rhinestones and the lace punch border. What speaks more of motherhood than all the nature we see around us. I wanted to make a fun card with bright colors, so here it is!
Sorry I missed last night, I was just exhausted from my yardwork on Wednesday! Hope your Friday was a good day and Saturday even better. Thanks Cheryl, for this kit. I am sure I will make some more fun things. Thanks also to the ladies at the City Crafter Blog for making me a Spotlight artist in last weeks contest. I am always honored to be named, just slow thanking you as this time of year is just so crazy!
