I am so sorry to be so late tonight! It was a busy and hectic day. I watched some tennis this morning, then mowed and took the cats out. Daisy ended up catching a bird by hanging onto the bird feeder and of course they came crashing down. She brought me the bird, who was Ok and I let it go. The bird feeder was not so good, but is wired up until I remember to get another one.
Next, I got my shower, dressed, and drove to Walmart and HEB and was back home in an hour and ten minutes. I thought I was making a remarkable recovery on the days chaos, but the phone kept ringing. I settled down at 10:00PM(everyone is the real world had gone to bed so the phone quit ringing) to make this card and decided simple was best! I used Pool Party for the card base, added a embossed white panel with two border lace pieces lined with Island Indigo. I made a button flower and gave it Lucky Limeade leaves and tied a piece of cord in a bow. I stamped, cut out my butterfly and added rhinestones. Do you notice the butterfly trail that I paper pierced? Is this simple enough, but effective? I like how the card turned out. After my busy and fun day, it always so nice to sit down and make a card.
I still have comments to return to all of you who visited my blog today! I never go to bed before I do that. Post Script: FOR those of you waiting on comments, I just tried to finish and blogger is on the fritz again! So if I did not leave a comment on your blog it is not because I did not try! Last night's card, the man in the hat reminds me of the movie, The Thomas Crowne Affair. And thank you ladies on the City Crafter Blog for spotlighting my card last week! Such a bright spot in the week. Happy last day of June everyone! Enjoy!
