It's been a beautiful, but hot Sunday! I am back with another Tuesday Trigger for the challenge over on the Moxie Fab World. This week's trigger target was this lovely crocheted afghan in delicious colors, "Squares to Cherish". I used the colors, my flower stamp to create a fuzzy look and the square shape from the trigger photo.
This card has been in my head all week, but other things like mowing the lawn have kept me from finishing the card until now. I went with a 5" x 5" card base in Natural white card stock. I matted it with Wisteria Wonder and Basic Gray. I went with the color scheme that was in the photo(my interpretation of them). My scallop square mat was cut with a sizzix die using River Rock cs. I stamped my squares using a tag stamp from the Tagtastic set. It actually has the curly label shape, but I loved the dots and it fit perfectly with the scallop square punch. My squares were stamped in Wisteria Wonder, Baja Breeze, Wild Wasabi, and Basic Gray, my flowers in Baja Breeze, Wisteria Wonder, and Calypso Coral. After gluing down my squares I paper pierced my square. I layered everything and tried to make this look like it was crocheted. My last square I stamped my sentiment and stamped over with my flower.
