I have never started a challenge card the first night. However, with the challenge over on the City Crafter Challenge Blog, I was so excited. I have needed the push to use scraps and as cards are so fun when made with scraps, this was easy. I made this card in an hour. So what does that tell you?
My card quest started with finding this black, unusual shaped piece of black cs. It was left over from cutting out a circle and it was on my table! Halloween was my first thought. I had several orange card bases in my cut card bin. I chose Tangerine Tango. In my scrap drawer I found all these papers in my paper drawer(a one inch tray drawer just bursting paper). I picked out the pieces I wanted and started putting this card together. My spiders were left over from my Halloween card last week, these two were just not perfect last week , but they look pretty good here. I added some left over twine, some pom poms off a piece of trim, and "eek" letters from my left over letter box. A stitch here and there, a pocket to hold some candy or money, or even a gift card! I used the little wand so show off the pocket, I made it from a rubbing stick covered in a piece of paper, I used a ring from around the spider covering it with another piece of paper and added an orange bow(a ribbon scrap). I love this scrap card. Look for another scrap card tomorrow night. I am hoping to make this scrap week!
Have a wonderful Wednesday! The days are going by so..ooo.. fast. It will be September soon.
