I have been working on my craft room for the last five days. I bought some more cubes over the weekend and have finished out the wall for the supplies. I sorted out and got rid of a lot of things, but the result is so nice. I still have scraps to go through and sort, some painting of wall repairs and things to hang, but that can wait. When I saw the challenge over on the City Crafter Challenge Blog, Tuesday, I knew exactly what I wanted to do. The challenge is to make a card or project with one piece of ribbon, 2 or more words, and 3 or more butterflies. See what I came up with!
My card base is Soft Suede cs with a Cajun Craze cs mat. I took a piece of Natural Ivory cs and stamped the word stamp from French foliage in Early Expresso ink. Next I added stamped leaves from the same set, using More Mustard, Cajun Craze and Old Olive ink. The last thing I stamped were butterflies in EE. Now if you are saying, I just can't see all this, it is because I ran the piece through a tim Holtz embossing folder. Then I rubbed the whole thing with Soft Suede ink, rubbing harder in some areas. This made a fabulous background. I dyed seam binding with More Mustard ink, crinkled and dried it then added some Soft Suede ink. The leaf was stamped on white cs inked and cut out. The butterflies were stamped over inked cs and cut. My two words Happy Fall were printed on my computer. So there is ribbon, two words and a lot of butterflies! The butterflies are a different color when fall comes. Gone are the yellow and black ones and the orange and brown ones appear. When I saw the word butterflies, I could see this card. It turned out just like I saw it in my mind. I love it when a card comes together! It was as easy as 1, 2, 3.
I went to link up this card and found my last week's card was spotlighted, thanks ladies at City Crafter Blog, I always enjoy the challenges. Have a wonderful Thursday!
