Another beautiful Sunday and a start to a new week. I am bringing you a card tonight for Challenge #79 over on the City Crafter Challenge Blog. It was another wonderful fall day and what better to depict fall, but Harvest Festival. This fabulous picture would inspire anyone with all the fall colors and fruit.
I started with a Peach Parfait card base and added a dsp and a Very Vanilla mat. My vanilla mat is dry embossed with swirls, my wind which is blowing the leaves across the card. I stamped the wheel barrow andpumpkin with black Stazon, my leaves in several colors. I colored the wheel barrow with inks and a blender pen, using Pumpkin Pie, Poppy Parade, So Saffron, Daffodil Delight, cherry Cobbler, Lucky Limeade and Old Olive. I fussy cut the leaves and wheelbarrow and put everything together. This is a truly beautiful time of year, for that I am grateful.
I planned to do so much this weekend, was going to get a lot done outside. I got no sleep Friday night, so I was really tired on Saturday. I managed to get some shopping done, but nothing done outside. I was going to bed Saturday night, but I was going to watch my team play football. I figured they would loose by so much it would be awful, so my back up plan was to watch the World Series(back in Texas). Well the game between Oklahoma and Texas Tech(my alma mater) was delayed by weather for 1hr and 45 minutes. When it finally got started it was an awesome game, we were up at half-time 24-7. Then as the second half unfolded, the score got closer and closer. We hung on to win and when it was over, the time was 12:45. Now you ask, why was the game so important to me? Well, I can't explain the awesomeness of watching a game that goes that long, with a final score of 41-38, with your team the winner after being a three touchdown underdog! It was played in Oklahoma where OU had not lost in 39 games. The cats were right there with me to the end of the game. Anyway, I had a second night of almost no sleep and I planned to sleep today, but it just wasn't happening. I did get my backyard sprayed with fertilizer and the rest of the work will still be there and I did get this card made and posted. I hope you all had as much fun this weekend as I did. Have a great Monday! Enjoy!
