This sounded like such a fun challenge, I could not resist making something for the City Crafter Challenge Blog. The challenge for Week 83 was to incorporate a "four legged friend" into your project. I really wanted to make something using my favorite friends, my cats, but time wasn't on the side of that this week. It has been such a busy time and will be even busier. so I decided to use the theme the DT used, a reindeer.
I bought a couple of small gifts Saturday and thought wouldn't it be nice to make a gift bag and tag for each of them. I would have gifts wrapped and could enter them in challenges where applicable. So that is what I did here. I now have one gift taken care of! I have plenty of dsp from years of buying. I started with a pretty green dsp and made my bag. I then stamped my favorite tree on white cs and on the bag as well. I cut the tree and embossed it with clear ep, adding white ep to the bottom ground portion, then glued it to my gift bag. My reindeer friend was done on my computer using this cute reindeer in MDS. I made him the size I wanted, printed, then backed him with cs and cut him out. I added gold rhinestones and a red one for the nose. Isn't he fun? I added mica flakes at the bottom of the bag for snow. I used a rub-on for the sentiment, "rush home for Christmas". My tag is made with a die cut rosette(Tim Holtz), some bakers twine and a stocking I stamped and paper pieced with dsp and a cs reindeer.
One gift down and more to go! Have you started wrapping your presents yet? I wonder who this one could be for? Have a wonderful Tuesday!
