I am back with a card for week 85 over on the City Crafter Challenge Blog, "Santa Claus is coming". This time of year is so much fun and filled with laughter. The best memories of past Christmas's are the beautiful pictures of Santa on cards and in story books. For this reason, I chose a free vintage Santa from the Clearly Vintage Blog.
My card has a kraft card base, matted with a Cherry Cobbler mat which has been embossed with a Poinsettia ef. A holly dsp mat is machine stitched and holds a portrait of Santa Claus. I framed him with a punched border. I added (glittered) holly leaves die cut from a music page and cs, some circle punch berries a Merry Christmas tag, baker's twine and a jingle bell. At the top I added an inked and glittered snowflake and more baker's twine. Isn't this an elegant Santa?
I will be back in awhile with my second post, Countdown to Christmas, Day 4.
