You absolutely rocked the last ColourQ challenge of the year. There were so many beautiful and fun cards. The first challenge of year over on the ColourQ Challenge Blog has spring colors for you to work. Arielle chose Cherry Cobbler, Pear Pizzazz, Cameo Coral, Cool Caribbean, and white. Do you think these colors will start of your year with a fabulous card? I do!
My card base is Cool Caribbean, the bottom being embossed with a new heart ef. I cut a heart out of the center of my white cs, then cut a bottom border, embossed it with the border ef and the dots ef. I added Pear Pizzazz pleated ribbon and a line of pearls. I used the bird punch, cutting the bird out of CC cs and the wing out of Pool Party dsp. On a separate piece of white cs I stamped the flowers in black Stazon and water colored them in Cherry Cobbler, Cameo Coral, Pool Party(I don't have any Cool Caribbean ink), and Pear Pizzazz inks. I did parts of this twice so I could cut out the small flowers and the leaves. I mounted the flower piece then sponged the inside with Cameo Coral ink, then glued the small flowers and leaves on to give dimension outside the heart. Last I stamped Just for You and the dots frame, then punched it out and mounted with dimensionals, adding two pearls . Flowers will again set the tone for me this year! I love this set! The colors are really the ones in the above photo, I could not get my blue to look right in the picture below. It seems to be a hard color to photograph accurately.
Have a wonderful Tuesday! What are your goals for crafting this year? I am looking forward to your projects.
