Well, for those of you who were born on February 29, a very Happy Birthday! I always wondered what it would be like to have been born on the 29th. Today over on the Papercraft Star Blog, we are celebrating Leap year with a frog challenge! Okay, now if you are saying what am I going to do with a frog, think peeps, Leap Year only happens once every four years and that alone should stimulate your imagination, it did mine! I look forward to seeing all the great projects that I know you can make.

Be sure and check this Etsy store out, I saw some cute vintage Easter images! I used two different image sheets this week. One to make my world and one to make the scene and frogs on my card.
Creating a card using digital images offers a lot of different options as well as how I approach what I make. This card is a 5"x 5" square card base in kraft cs. Since Leap Year is a World happening, I chose an old world image for my window and a grunge square for my mat, printed on paper and mounted on cs. I printed a green grunge square to stamp my frogs (Frog and Co. SU). My butterflies are die cut using a yellow grunge square printed on paper, glued to a red grunge square printed on paper. I stamped my sign(also from Frog and Co. SU) and Computer generated Welcome to my World and 366. There are 12 frogs, one for each month, but you know how they multiply so I imagine that over the course of this year there will be at least 366.
My frog in the corner was made using two printed green grunge squares, then the frog pattern traced on and cut out and shaped. The pattern came from an old Book Of Knowledge, the first encyclopedia set my parents owned. The books were first printed in 1914 and the three I have, 1926. I first learned to cut paper from this book and this was the perfect opportunity to share a frog with you! I hope my project will give you some inspiration to make a project and include a frog, just a fun and whimsical thing to do, especially if it is a rainy and dreary sort of day.
