It was a beautiful St. Patrick's Day, Saturday! I did some shopping, some gardening, even had lunch out. I spent the evening in the craft room listening to NCAA basketball, while making this card. I will be getting back to my tag book, but I have been occupied with a problem the last two days. I think things are back to normal, at least normal for me! Hope your day was a really nice one.
This card is just what I am feeling about the weather. We have Monarch butterflies everywhere, but I chose birds as they are enjoying the warmth as well. The card base is Pool Party with a white mat embossed with the Finial Press ef. I stamped the Apothecary Art in black stazon, twice, then water colored one and stamped the sentiment on the other, using the Stamp A Ma Jig. The paper is Everyday Enchantment(Sale-A-Bration)dsp. I made a flower using the Boho Blossom punch and dyed a pieced of seam binding with Pool Party ink. If you want an even dye, add a few drops of alcohol along with the ink and water. I went for a lighter shade, as I liked the contrast. I also used the Polka Dots ef, the Bird Builder punch, the framelits dielet, and some pearls. Colors are Pool Party, Lucky Limeade and Poppy Parade. I used the retrosketches Challenge Blog, sketch for their second challenge. Unfortunately, I was not able to do my card until today, but still wanted to use the sketch as the inspiration for this card.
Sketch #3 is now up, so if you are looking for a wonderful sketch challenge, I think this one is it! Have a wonderful Sunday, take time to see what miracles are outside today!
