In just over a month, the new Stampin'Up! catalog will unveil the new loveliness for 2012-2013. Tonight the retired stamp list comes out and we will be saying goodbye to a lot of wonderful stamp sets. This is always a sad time for me as I just love the stamps I buy. So tonight I made a card using a 2010 hostess stamp set, already retired, a current butterfly set, and two in colors which we will say goodbye to, Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzazz. After tonight, I will be showing retiring sets that I have and in colors whenever I can.
My card base is Pear Pizzazz with a kraft and a white mat. I embossed the white mat with a Paper Studio script ef, sorry it was a gift so I don't know the name, then rubbed with two inks. My flower, retired Because I Care, Stampin'Up!, was stamp with black stazon and water colored with Island Indigo and Pool Party inks, flower centers with Daffodil Delight, leaveswith Pear Pizzazz. The butterflies were colored with Blushing Bride and Soft Suede, everything was fussy cut and mounted with dimensionals. I am making Mother's day cards early this year, it's not far away.
I will be doing this card again, I am not completely satisfied with the layout and I would like a script mom. I am hoping that you are all safe tonight from the tornadoes moving through the midwest. Have a wonderful Sunday!
