Hello!....It is a beautiful Tuesday morning with everything starting to really look beautiful. This week over on the ColourQ Challenge Blog, Arielle has chosen some beautiful fall colors, More Mustard, Dusty Durango, Basic Gray, black and white. Dusty Durango is a retired color and I never really used it because I wasn't fond of it. But when I made this card, all of a sudden I did not see it as masculine, but as a vibrant color that I could use to make a beautiful spring floral card.
I love making beautiful cards, and the best subject to use is a flower. My card base is matted with black and Dusty Durango cs. I added a white mat run through two ef's. I ran it through the floral ef which was sponged with More Mustard and Basic Gray inks, then the dots folder. I added too much sponging afterwards but oh well, I was not starting over. My flowers are stamped in black Stazon then water colored with Dusty Durango and More Mustard, the centers, Basic Gray and Dusty Durango. I stamped butterflies and Hello in Basic Gray. Tag was hand cut and tied on with black and white Baker's twine. Retiring stamp set used is the Fifth Avenue Floral.
I am trying to focus this year on making beautiful cards! That is a direction I am trying to take in my life, doing things that are positive and make me feel good about what I do. I love what I do and enjoy sharing with you! Have a wonderful day, I will be back with a fun card for Papercraft Star tomorrow at 5am.
