This is day 1 with the Three Cool Chicks...check out Amy's blog Here, she is one of the Three Cool Chick's. This is a workshop on being trendy! I have a problem with focusing on trends even though I love them. I am more of a "do what I feel like" person, so I am normally doing flowers and butterflies, things I can water color! But I am giving the week a go!
I decided to do a birthday card, and instead of my banner being used for the sentiment, I chose to use it for decoration. Kraft card stock is the base, with a new piece(sneak peek) of designer paper. If you use the piece on top, you will lose your eyes trying to look at it, but I love it for the geometric design! I machine stitched this piece. I stamped a new frame from Papaya Collage stamp set(Stampin'Up!), some newsprint scraps for my banner(I just cut a pattern), and the party hat stamp is from the same set. I fussy cut the frame, added a fussy cut hat stamped on the newsprint and stamped happy birthday. I hung the banner from a black and white baker's twine, the last of my trendy things!
There is also space to personalize this card when I decide who I am giving it to. Looking forward to tomorrow's trendy adventure! Today was my husband's birthday so I am really running behind! Have a wonderful day.
