I am back this week for another color challenge over on the ColourQ. Arielle chose these colors for us to play with this week, Midnight Muse, Summer Starfruit, Gumball Green, Certainly Celery and white. As always I look forward to seeing what you make using the colors, a good sketch or great design or just wonderful placement of only these colors.
I knew immediately what I wanted to do when I saw the combo. I made an end of summer card some days ago where I used some of these colors. These greens remind me of the way the bright greens change toward the end of summer into yellows. I started with a Midnight Muse card base and stamped French text (from French Script)in MM ink on it. A cut out with stamped leaves was glued on it. I added three white mats with a progression of die cut windows. I inked the edge of each in Certainly Celery, Summer Starfruit, and Gumball Green. To each layer I added stamped, stamped off, and fussy cut leaves. I stamped butterflies in MM ink and colored with Summer Starfruit. Last I inked the bird with the blue and the yellow, cut him out and glued him in the last window. I left the card without a sentiment until I decide what I want to say!
My parsley is long past the yellow stage, it finally succumbed to the heat. So I am seeing the parsley through my stamping! Have a wonderful Tuesday and create something beautiful today!
