I have not done too much decorating this year, but the mantle is usually finished first. I was wrapping a star garland around the ribbon holding the HO HO HO when it pulled everything off the mantle, breaking two of my Jim Shore figurines and a bird made out of resin. I was so unhappy that I did not attempt to string the stars around the ribbon. Don't you just hate it when you break something? I also changed out the painting over the fireplace this year. This French scene is perfect! My dad gave me this picture a long time ago. It always reminded me of the photo's of my mother when she was younger. The soft snowman and the fishing Santa I made some years ago. I still love the happiness they bring to the mantle, but every year it is just a little different.
There is still magic in our house at Christmas! Ho! Ho! Ho!. There are only two shopping days left and of course two days left to prepare for the celebration of the birth of Jesus! See you tomorrow! Have a wonderful Sunday!
