Happy Tuesday! This week we are experiencing a warm trend which makes the colors chosen this week so appropriate! Over at the colourQ this week, the challenge colors Arielle chose are so spring! They are Dusty Durango, Apricot Appeal, Blush Blossom, Kraft and Very Vanilla. I chose a lot of embossing and the light versions of these colors to make this card work. I look forward to seeing what you come up with!
The card base is Very Vanilla with the same for my pieced mats. I love the curve of the skirt, thus the piecing. Then I added a lot of embossing. I have 2 die cut hearts out of Blush Blossom, then stamped on VV two hearts in Dusty Durango. Butterflies are Apricot Appeal, also die cut, and with pearls added. The roses, my favorite stamp, was colored with the Stampin writers in Dusty Durango, Apricot Appeal(centers) and Crumb Cake(leaves). The heart was stamped with BB and the sentiment DD. I do struggle with photo's and this one no matter what I did lost something. This one was the best I could do!
I love all the embossed layers. The Apricot Appeal with the Very Vanilla remind me of the Narcissus I have planted that are coming up now. I can almost smell the sweetness! Hope you have a wonderful Tuesday and that you will find time to play with us so you can use these fabulous colors!
