It is Sunday night as I type, but I am back with another birthday card for my friend Brenda! Her birthday is easy to remember because it is the day after my grandson, Colin's birthday. Check below for Colin's present although the photo isn't the best. I was on a tight schedule to get it to UPS. His parties had to be postponed as his baby brother got the flu on Saturday! Back to Brenda, I hope you have a beautiful Monday and birthday! I forgot it was a mail holiday, so Brenda, your card won't be there tomorrow!
I totally for got to put this picture in. This is the comforter that I have been working on for about five years. I started it and then we had to move and it got pushed aside. It is made with jean squares from my husband's(Papa), Stephen's(my son and Colin's dad) and Andrew's(my son and Colin's uncle)jeans, along with squares of bandana print. I put in five pockets because I thought it would be fun, but limited the number as they are so hard to piece in. As you can see I loaded the pockets with a little Christmas candy left over. It will be fun to hide things in the pockets, just for bedtime!
For Brenda's card I used the card base that I started two nights ago when I could not stamp a thing. This card just fell into place tonight. I can't remember whose embossing folder the happy birthday is, sorry. It was either given to me or I bought it awhile back. the hearts were left over and you know how I love embossing folder so I used two more from Sizzix and SU. I stamped and colored in the flower and vines with stampin writers. the hearts were left from play night as well. Brenda loves the cards I do that are a little different, so I hope she will enjoy this one.
It is another beautiful Monday morning, hope you have a wonderful day! Happy crafting!
