Hello Wednesday, yes I am back with another card for the Papercraft Star. We have an interesting challenge this week, use a frame in your project. Now that gives you a lot of options. Hope that we will inspire you to play this week.
I went in an obtuse direction. I had this wonderful dsp with doilies all over it. Don't you see a frame in each of these doilies? I used a Pool Party card base and matted it with this doily dsp.I added this lovely piece of lace and some pearls. I used a lace doily as the bottom frame, a die cut doily in green, then a stamped doily. In this last frame I stamped my sentiment. I added a beautiful metal brad with stamped flower, dome cover, and lots of pearls. Two bows, one ribbon and one of baker's twine, and two silk roses complete this card. Did you notice the tiny hummingbird, I colored the stamp with stampin writers, then fussy cut and popped it up with dimensionals. This is not my usual style, but every once in awhile I like to go out of my comfort zone.
I made this card for my friend, she and I have so much in common and have never met. She could have been my sister, the one I really never had. Changing subjects, our temperature was 82 yesterday and hope to reach 61 today. Some change in weather, huh? Have a wonderful Wednesday. Be sure and check out the other designer's projects at our blog!
