No, I am not imaging things. Yesterday when I was out working on the rock patio, we had butterflies, these lovely big yellow ones. It was maybe 60 out but there they were! So I will continue to enjoy stamping and coloring them for my cards. I made several card backgrounds Sunday, and had this one left over waiting for card construction, hope that you like what I did with it.
This next weeks challenges where I do DT cards used some of the same color. So I just started stamping and this background was left over. I had butterflies and one set of roses left over and so this card grew out of that. This is a fabulous stencil of Aspen's(TWC...my daughter got for me at a quilt show). I was not quite sure how they would show up when I started this, but I think I managed to capture the trees quite well. I added the roses and two butterflies. I miss Colorado Aspens, even though there were not that many where I could see them all the time. I think they are such a beautiful tree. The background was created by stencilling Daffodil Delight and Early Expresso inks. I matted the card base(Crumb Cake) with Early Expresso. I did not add any birds as I feared they would get lost in the details of the trees.
Well, here is my card for you to look at! Have a wonderful evening and I will be back at 5:00 am with a new colourQ post for you!
