Happy Tuesday, it's another challenge day over at the ColourQ! Look at the beautiful and vibrant colors Arielle has chosen. They are Midnight Muse, Summer Starfruit, Brilliant Blue, Cool Carribean, and white. these colors make me think of Spring and Summer at the same time. I look forward to seeing what you design with them.
It took me three tries making this card. the first time everything was just what I wanted until I added two much glitter glue and the Midnight Muse ink ran into the Summer Starfruit. The second time the placement wasn't right even though I liked the butterfly better. I got it all together for this one. I do so love this butterfly stamp and water coloring it is so much fun! Card base is Cool Carribean matted with white, stamped background in Summer Starfruit and embossed with the Manhattan ef. The butterfly was stamped using Midnight Muse ink. I heat it with the embossing gun to try and set the ink, then I let it sit while the rest of my card is being put together. I started with the hardest color to keep from spreading, Summer Starfruit. I work the ink from the ink pad with the blender pad adding water to my pen as needed. If you get the cs too wet it will pill, so the idea is to just spread the ink. I worked the Tempting Turquoise instead of Cool Carribean, then the Brilliant Blue. Water coloring is done in layers and the cs dries when you go to another color, so you can go back and add more color. The butterfly is then fussy cut and glued to the cs. I love this card, but then I love the colors and the butterfly!
There's no glitter, no shine this time, but this card makes me happy! Have a wonderful Tuesday. Our day will be cool, but sunny, we are lucky here this week! Thanks for stopping by .
