This year is flying by, there are only five days left in February. I spent most of my time Saturday outside, I am not sure that I got very much accomplished. We bought more rock for the patio, my husband unloaded it, while I worked on laying it out! Needless to say, I had to have some down time before going to the craft room. Thus the late(or early) post.
I have been wanting to do this card for awhile now and decided to use purple(Concord Crush) for my flowers.this has got to be my all time favorite rose to water color. Along with this butterfly it made a beautiful card. I stamped and water colored the roses on a white mat, a few extra roses and leaves on a scrap. I then die cut an oval and embossed it with the hexagon ef, then glued it to my mat. I like to think of this folder as having a fence like quality. I fussy cut the extra bits and added them to the frame. Two butterflies were stamped, water colored and cut out, then glued together and onto the card. One tip, cut each butterfly out separately except for the antennae. Do those after they have been glued together cutting the inside first and the outside last, they are less likely to tear. I did not put a sentiment on this card, I think it speaks for itself and the message inside once sent will say what you want it to say.
I have new flowers blooming this weekend in the garden and they are purple, small ones on a vine I brought when I moved from Colorado and my Mountain Laurel that I planted last year. I have only ever had one bloom on the vine and these are my first two blooms on the Mt. Laurel so it was exciting. Last post I brought you a trendy card and today's card is one of beauty. Have a beautiful Sunday...do something fun and crafty!
