Happy Tuesday, first week of March. It's time for another challenge over on the colourQ . Get out your best crafting skills and some fun supplies and play along with us this week. Arielle chose some more great Spring colors, Basic Black, Basic Gray. Gumball Green, Glorius Green and white. Check out the other designers projects for inspiration.
I used a kraft card base and matted with white cs. I stamped and stamped off the background in both greens. Glorious green is retired and blueish in color, Gumball Green has the yellowish tints so there is some good contrast, but they work well together. I used a large dots embossing folder and embossed one side of the card. I stamped a piece of white cs with a wood grain stamp using Basic Gray. I then cut pieces to make the bird house, punching out the hole and backing it with a scrap from the bird house. The bird was stamped in Basic gray, fussy cut and rubbed with black ink. Foliage, leaves and flowers were also stamped, fussy cut and glued in place. I decided not to stamp a sentiment, I loved it just like it was. If spring ever gets here one could just add a bit of color.
We have already been up to 82 this year, but again we were in the 20's last night. The sun is shining, my peach tree is blooming, but it is covered for this last bit of weather. The rollercoaster ride is available everyday and there is no charge for the difference in temperatures! LOL! Happy March, hope to see you in our line up this week. Thanks for stopping by for a visit!
