I started this card on Thursday evening, but soon knew it wsn't going anywhere, so at 12:30 Friday morning I put it down and went to bed. I picked up all the pieces I ahd stamped Friday evening and soon knew what colors and where everything needed to go! I often find when I am stuck it is better to put it down, think about it and get up and start over. I have several unfinished projects cluttering my table and at least this one is off. I hope to clear off a few more...you see I get interrupted with things I have to do, or like yesterday where I spent the day in the bathroom...food poisoning I suspect!
This card has a lovely blue card base and is matted in white cs. The top is embossed with a hexagon ef and the bottom is made up of hand stamped, cut hexagons or quilt squares. I added flowers and a "thinking of you sentiment" and except for the time it took to stamp, watercolor, and fussy cut everything, it was an easy card. If I don't have a color group picked out, I start stamping like crazy, but I always pick two or three colors that I know I want to be the main ones.
So there you have it, another red, white and blue card, just a little different than the Patriotic ones! I did not start out with that in mind, it just evolved! Have a beautiful last day of May. Our summer has begun as we were up in the 90's today! Thanks for stopping by for a visit.
