Wow! This month has flown by. Happy last Tuesday of the month. It also happens to be my dil's birthday, so Happy Birthday to Amber. I have been busy, but have not posted since last week. This week's challenge over at the ColourQ brings some lovely reds to work with. Arielle chose, Strawberry Sluch, Cherry Cobbler, Calypso Coral, Going Gray and a neutral. It is getting closer to Valentine's Day, these colors are perfect!
The card base for the first card is a pink and is matted with white. I stamped a gray background with a Work of Art stamp, then stamped the sentiment. The flowers and branch are stamped lightly in black stazon ink, water colored in all four colors, then fussy cut and glued to the base. The butterfly is stamped in Going Gray, die cut and glued as well. I love the rich colors, the combination of the dark red, the bright pink and the coral red. They are all there, don't they work well together. This was the third card I made.
I am not showing you the first card as I wasn't really happy with it so this is the second card I made. The card base is the same soft pink and is also matted with white cs. The background is stamped in Going Gray, sequins and embossed dots were added. I used all the red colors and stamped a piece of white cs then die cut the large butterfly, I stamped the honeycomb in Strawberry Slush, then die cut and glue to the card base. I drew in the antennas...it was a quick and easy card...but it did not wow me..so I moved on.
I continue to love using the butterfly die, I will get a card using them that one day will wow me. Have a beautiful Tuesday! Those of you experiencing bad weather I hope the best for you, stay warm. Thanks for those of you who drop by and leave comments. Have a fabulous Day!
