It's this Tuesday before Christmas and all through the house, there are not elves scurrying, nor sugarplums...but kitties in bed! It is quiet as I type, we are coming out of a very cold spell...at least cold for us, we hit a low of 22 Sunday night and 27 again last night. Not to worry, I left the heater turned up a bit. Today, I bring you a card I made in October using the new sleigh die from Stampin'Up! with some envelopes I made...I also used the designer paper they had this year...not my most favorite as the colors just did not seem happy to me! Also a photo, not so good as I couldn't seem to find the right place to put my orchid for a picture. My window ledge where I keep the orchids is not as pretty as I would like it for a photo...so sorry about that, but this is the first time I have had my orchid re-bloom...so I was very excited. Happy Christmas!
First the card! Each of the envelopes had a card that could be signed with the names of the recipient. This card had 6 envelopes, but you could do a smaller number if you wished! I did think it was a clever way to include all family members! Love this card and especially the die cut sleigh! Sorry Santa, no room for you!
Below see my beautiful orchid...it is funny as yellow is my favorite color and it is the yellow orchid that is blooming and will soon be covered in blooms. Not only do I have one stem covered, but a second one covered in blooms. I have loved orchids ever since I moved to Jakarta, Indonesia. The hotel we lived in for over a month had them growing in the lobby. I soon discovered I could buy them by the arm full for almost nothing. I really loved bringing home orchids every grocery day...they smell so wonderful and are so uplifting.
Doesn't this face just say....Happy Christmas! No question about it! Merry Christmas Friends around the world...a few days early!
