Does anything say Spring is on it's way, like tulips? I have been doing so many cards, tags etc. that I hardly have time left to blog. Today I am bringing you some things I have made and already sold that were inspired by the hope of Spring. I must say we have not had a winter. One day it might be 50, the next almost 90. We have been on a roller coaster for sure. I also am looking at the end of December 2006-January 2007 when we received so much snow that the road was closed, our drive closed for a lengthy time in spite of the snowplow coming in. I feel for those of you snowbound with bursting pipes and flooding in the basements.
First some small cards. This is a set of four 3" cards with envelopes I made for Valentines....love them...
and I love these tulip tags....
Tulips and Narcissus are January February flowers that is for sure! Now for some real snow....Trinidad, Colorado...December 30th 2006...Mom is this really happening...I want to go home to New Mexico!
How are we going to get home Tigger? The snow mobile is completely buried! I can only see one side mirror and the antennae and that is after a week trying to dig out!
Maybe we can leave by way of the front door! No?
How about the side door? Daisy is standing guard to make sure no one gets in! She tried to get out, mom!
I just couldn't make it! Look outside and see if dad is coming!
Looks like he made it. We are all safe, as snug as a bug in a rug! We are snowbound, but we are always prepared and the electric and cable never went out.
My bit of inspiration for this next week as we reach the middle of February. Tigger and Daisy made the trip to Texas with us, he never got back to his home in New Mexico...we lost him in July of 2012 to cancer. But Miss Daisy who is from Colorado is still hobbling along...she adjusted well to her new home and I know she does not miss the cold. I have many more photos of my beautiful Colorado. I will always feel like it was home. Good luck to all of you with snow problems....Spring is on it's way! Thanks for reminiscing with me...Happy February!
