Well, this is posting a little later than I had planned, but when do things go exactly as wel plan? Happy December 6th to everyone. It is indeed cold outside as I sit here typing away. Now if this was the Night Before Christmas...there isn't anything but me stirring...the cats are all asleep! It is 32 out with an 80% chance of rain?...sleet...or will it be ice!...? I started this card late again and wanted to do a quick one..ha..what is that in my world?
This card has a kraft card base and is matted with shiny silver cs and a beautiful gray dsp. The skates are a new die for me from Tim Holtz. They remind me of the years when I was little and we skated as a family on the frozen pond in Allentown, Pa. It was so much fun...even though I had cheater ice skates. I loved lacing these skates with baker's twine, adding a sparkle gem at the top and a row of rhinestones to my banner! I paper pieced the skates, the heel and the blade. The blade is Basic Gray, but I wish I had made it Going Gray. By the time I added the glitter glue, it seemed too dark.
This is the season for childhood memories, mine are fond ones, how about you? Have a warm Friday, that is if you can stay inside and live in a cold part of the world. THIS post is my 1400th post! Amazing that I have written that many! Thanks for stopping by for a visit and come back tomorrow to see where my brain has landed next! Or maybe, it is my heart!
