BACK TO SCHOOL, SIZZIX BIG SHOT

I am posting new pictures of the back to school project I completed and posted last night. It was not until this morning that I discovered the picture I posted was not good quality. I am sorry if I frustrated anyone trying to see what the project looked like. Evidently, I was so tired last night, that I missed  the picture was fuzzy.

 I spent most of the morning trying to get good pictures. I was not completely satisfied, but they are much better than the one posted last night. This afternoon I worked on a clipboard. Last night I said I was working on a coordinating project. Well, after I went to bed, I completely forgot what I had intended on doing. I had a great idea, but it went away with the night. Oh well!!!

I have posted separate pictures, so I could get a close up of each. The color is still not right. This blackboard is in the blue and white dot designer paper from the Summer Picnic collection. The top blackboard is in certainly celery from the designer collection. In order to get the full picture of the garland in, I am not sure it is going to be clear. I am trying again. It may be because the picture is long and thin. I hope this one is good enough. I also took it on a different piece of furniture. Amazing, isn't it that this looks totally different on this dark wood. The light would probably never be right in my house so here is the best I have. Below find the last picture. It is of the clipboard. I am not entirely sure that it is finished, but I really wanted to watch the US Open Tennis tonight. With the brain on tennis, I am sure the clipboard will get finished in the morning. Note that I had the same problem with the light. I used the same paper. The middle strip where the flowers are, is the blue with white dots. I do feel like this is a good beginning for the clipboard. BEAUTIFUL DAY IN COLORADO

I awoke to another beautiful day in Colorado. It was warm and still, though very pleasant. I watered, dead headed my roses, and sat out under the trees waiting for the hummingbirds. Three of my cats kept me company. I guessed this was one of the reasons the one hummingbird that appeared kept flying off. After about an hour, I retreated indoors to start my day.

The Morning Glory card I did last night, became today's obsession. I started from the beginning and traced my steps with my digital camera. This will be in an album posted on the left. I hope you will be able to follow how a watercolor is done. I chose different blues. I googled photos of Morning Glories and found there are  many variations of color, I guess this is why I see so many color interpretations. The placement of the stamps is always going to be different, and of course the water color treatment will be as well. All stamps copyrights, Stampin'Up!

This evening, I worked on a 6"x6" scrapbook page for my grandson. He vacationed with us in May. This is the start of a fairly big project. I won't post every page, but all pages will be included in the next scrapbook album as I get them done. I had a productive day, as I am feeling better. I just wish for some sleep. This is Colin, age 3yrs at Nana's and Papa's house. Isn't he a doll?
