Cheryl Nelson is the hostess of the Week 30 challenge over on the City Crafter Challenge Blog. As this is the season of thanksgiving, she picked "Thank You" as the theme for the challenge. Her beautiful photo is of a fall flower. Please go by and check out the designer's cards and play along!
I decided to try and make another cloth flower. I cut out ninecircles out of some sheer fabric. I used the brayer to ink the fabric, Cajun Craze, Tangerine Tango, and So Saffron. I burned the edges, added glue and some fine orange glitter. I stacked my flower layers and added a fancy button. I made my leaves by adding Old Olive ink with the brayer to my fabric, added glue and green glitter. With a little sewing my flower and leaves went together. I used some ribbon, a hat pin that I made, an embossing folder, and some music paper to finish my card. Thanks so much, Cheryl, for the wonderful challenge. This has been another warm and beautiful day, for which I am grateful. My father was a veteran of World War II and Korea. Each day I think about him and the others who went before him that served our country, then there are the men and women who are serving now. Thank you... Happy Veteran's Day!
